Frequently Asked Questions
Is DaysBack really free?+
Yes! Core features like the dashboard, debt tracking, repayment strategies, and progress visualisation are completely free. Pro features add advanced tools like the Interest Burner and Overpayment Squeezer, but the essentials will always be free.
Is my financial data safe?+
Absolutely. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use Supabase with row-level security, meaning only you can access your data. We never sell or share your financial information.
How accurate are the calculations?+
Our calculations use standard financial formulas and are very accurate for planning purposes. However, actual results may vary slightly from your lender's calculations due to different compounding methods. Always treat projections as estimates.
Can I use DaysBack if I'm not in the UK?+
DaysBack is designed for UK users (£ currency, UK debt charities), but the core tracking features work for any currency. We plan to add multi-currency support in the future.
How do I delete my account?+
Go to Dashboard → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data within 30 days. If you need help, email us at support@daysback.app.
What's the difference between Avalanche and Snowball?+
Avalanche targets the highest-interest debt first (saves the most money). Snowball targets the smallest balance first (gives faster wins). Both are valid, so choose the one that keeps you motivated.
Do I need to enter my bank details?+
Never. DaysBack doesn't connect to your bank or require any payment card information. You manually enter your debt details and track payments yourself.
What happens to my data if DaysBack shuts down?+
You'll always be able to export your data. We'd give at least 90 days' notice and provide a full data export before any shutdown.

🔄 App not loading or showing errors

🔐 Can't log in
- Check your email for a magic-link or reset your password
- Try "Forgot Password" to reset
- Check your spam/junk folder for verification emails
- Make sure you're using the same email you signed up with
📊 Data not syncing
- Make sure you're logged in (not using local-only mode)
- Check your internet connection
- Try logging out and back in
- If using multiple devices, give it a moment to sync
